How we verify physiotherapists
BookPhysio.in is built for planned physiotherapy sessions in India. Verification helps patients trust who they book, without replacing your own clinical judgement or emergency care.
What we collect
- Professional registration number (State Council or NCAHP, depending on what applies).
- Qualification proof as submitted by the clinician (for example degree or registration certificate).
- City and practice details needed to run bookings on the platform.
What we check
We compare registration details against professional records where those lists are available and usable for verification. Where automated checks are not possible, we apply manual review instead, and the profile shows which of the two happened.
What verified does not mean
Verification confirms identity and registration steps on file. It is not a guarantee of treatment outcome. BookPhysio.in does not provide medical advice. For emergencies, use hospital or emergency services.
If you are a physiotherapist
To get a checked profile, you give us one accepted registration and we review it before your listing goes live. The accepted routes are your State Council registration, which is a statutory registration, or your NCAHP enrolment reference, which the enrolment portal itself describes as data collection rather than registration. Membership of a professional association, such as the Indian Association of Physiotherapists, is not a practice registration either, so it cannot stand in for one. You can still add it to your profile as a membership. We do not publish a review time, because we do not measure one yet.
Keep these ready to speed up your review:
- Your State Council or NCAHP registration number.
- A registration or degree certificate you can upload as qualification proof.
- A government-issued photo ID, in case we need to confirm your identity.

Common questions
What does the credential check on BookPhysio.in mean?
It means the physiotherapist supplied their State Council or NCAHP registration details and a qualification proof, and an admin reviewed those documents before the profile went live. Where a state publishes a register we can search, we check the number against it. Where it does not, we can only confirm the documents we were shown, so the badge says what was checked rather than claiming a registration status.
Can a physiotherapist list without that check?
No. An admin reviews the registration details and qualification documents before a profile is published. What the badge claims depends on what we were able to confirm, and each profile states it.
What if registration details look wrong?
Email support@bookphysio.in with the profile and your concern. We investigate reports that affect patient safety or trust, and we act on the profile while we do.
